Senior Cloud Engineer IV
Job Description
The Senior Cloud Engineer IV is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability. This role involves collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions, modifying and improving existing systems to align with cloud best practices, and educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives. The Senior Cloud Engineer IV also develops and maintains cloud systems, designs and deploys modular cloud-based systems, ensures efficient functioning of data storage and process functions following company security policies, and interacts with clients to provide cloud support and make recommendations based on client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Deploy Cloud Solutions
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
- Modify and improve existing systems to ensure they align with cloud best practices.
- Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
- Develop and Maintain Cloud Systems
- Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
- Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions following company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.
- Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement robust cloud-based infrastructure.
- Establish DevOps processes that streamline code deployments and enhance system reliability.
- Develop cloud deployment strategies for efficient software releases.
Technical Experience
Minimum Degree Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field.
Minimum Work Experience:
Three years of experience in Computer Science or Information Technology. The three years of experience must include:
- 3 years of experience in system architecture for Linux and Windows based infrastructure, including provisioning and administration.
- 2 years of Programming and Scripting Languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl or Java
- 3 years of experience in Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery.
- 2 years of experience in Docker for containerization.
- 1 years of experience in Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- 3 years of experience in Version Control like Git or other version control systems.
- 2 years of experience in tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation or other similar tools
- 3 years of experience in SQL
- 2 years of experience in HTML or other similar languages
- 2 years of experience in relational databases like MySQL or Oracle or PostgreSQL
- 1 years of experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB 3 Years of experience in working with agile frameworks such as scrum or Kanban
