IT Analyst II
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst II to design, build, and optimize enterprise software solutions, scalable data pipelines, and cloud backend architectures. In this role, you will work across the full software development lifecycle to engineer backend APIs, automate ETL workflows, and deliver high-performance, data-driven applications.

Secondary Locations: Texplorers Inc, 1720 S Edmonds Ln, Ste 220, Lewisville, TX 75067 and Telecommuting from Home (As designated on the accompanying LCA)
Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mon-Fri
Key Responsibilities
Under general supervision, the beneficiary will perform the following software development duties (Totaling 100 of the standard work week):
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of custom software solutions for enterprise data and web applications, translating functional requirements into scalable code and structured data models.
- Program, optimize, and maintain high-performance ETL pipelines and data processing software using SQL, Python, and PySpark to ingest and transform data within Databricks environments.
- Develop, test, and integrate backend software components, including RESTful and SOAP APIs, microservices, and data integration services supporting application functionality.
- Author data validation and reconciliation scripts, utilizing advanced SQL and programmatic logic to identify application defects and ensure target data integrity.
- Build source-to-target mapping software and modular data transformation code, implementing business logic that coordinates application workflows with structured data sets.
- Assist with routine software deployment tasks for cloud environments, writing standard configuration scripts, continuous integration files, and deployment automation code across Dev, UAT, and Production environments.
- Implement application performance monitoring components using Azure Monitor, configuring custom alerts and dashboards to track operational metrics and assist with root-cause analysis.
- Support backend validation frameworks by developing automated routines to programmatically test and evaluate software outputs against defined business rules and source data.
- Construct automated software testing workflows and validation scripts for pipelines and APIs, executing system testing and documenting defect logs with technical evidence.
- Maintain and execute CI/CD pipelines and version-control processes using Azure DevOps and Git to automate software builds and releases while participating in regular Agile ceremonies.
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications within Azure DevOps and Jira to construct traceable software artifacts for regular code deployment.
- Generate automated reporting software and data visualization tools to produce operational dashboards and data quality metrics for technical and business teams.
Technical Experience
Minimum Requirements
Position requires all of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a directly related specialty field, or its foreign equivalent. No general, business, or unrelated degrees are acceptable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specialty occupation role performing software development and data engineering duties.
- Demonstrated experience must include 2 years of utilizing the following core methodologies and tools:
- Designing, developing, and implementing software solutions and ETL/data integration pipelines using Agile/SDLC methodologies within structured repository platforms (such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or TFS).
- Programming with SQL and relational database development, including data modeling and data validation on DBMS platforms (such as SQL Server or Oracle).
- Developing and deploying software on modern data warehousing, cloud data platforms, and cloud environments (such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure, AWS, or GCP), including workflow automation or cloud migration applications.
- Designing and integrating RESTful/SOAP APIs and microservices for backend integrations, including testing and validation frameworks (such as Postman or SoapUI).
- Utilizing DevOps practices, source-control automation (Git/Azure DevOps), and CI/CD pipelines within Agile/Scrum lifecycles.
